I recently realized my friends were still bashing on Eli for saying ‘no homo’ in a tweet. I do NOT in any way, get this.

Why can a popular netizen say ‘no homo’ without people blaming them for being homophobic, but the moment an idol says it in a tweet, people bash him to heck and instantly dub him homophobic?

Where exactly is the logic in that?

Is this a sign that people don’t want idols to say jokes in fear they’ll say YOLO in the future or something? I am really confused.

Eli COULD be homophobic but just tweeting ‘no homo’ doesn’t make him one.
